Hi guys,

Out of interest people who have older boats (or new), do any of you cleat your outhall using the boom cleat?
As my boat has only one cleat on the deck under the vang i use it for the cunningham, and i use a 3:1 outhall system show on dr laser that boom cleats itself, will this cause me any problems when sailing do you think?

Paul,
think about using also the dLaser "quick-release" outhaul system. (A pic is also somewhere at TLF -maybe in a thread from Shevy from Mai/June 2004)
You´ll need it, aft rounding the windward mark in stronger winds... :D

P.S.: Ask Mr. Christian to bring you some Samson-Spectra-Ropes (dia. 3 and 4 mm), Laser-Basic-plates, outhaulsailhook and some ballbeared-harken/holtallen-micro-blocks in the end of December for that you quick can cange to drLaser-Outhaul-Cunningham next season...:D
