Last Saturday five teams of 3 on 3 competed to win what may be the oldest sailboat team race in America, the Aspatuck Sunfish Team Race. On Tiana Bay, Hampton Bays Long Island New York, The Dinghy Shop Team headed by Jim Koehler and joined by Daughter Margaurite and Top Worlds Competitor Victor Diaz de Leon over came an early deficit against the Wet Pants Sailing Association team of Lee MOntes, Nick Valente and David Johnson. This is the Dinghy Shops first Team Championship. The received a perpetual trophy that dates back 46 years. Other teams the competed were the North Fork YRA, Westhampton YS, and Aspatuck YC.
