I don't know Amanda, but either there are two Amanda Callahans, or she has sailed Sunfish before. Take a look at the 1999 results and 1998 Women's NAs results at www.wlyc.com

Anyway, congrats to Amanda. It will be good to have at least one woman at the O'Days.

Hi This is Amanda. It is true I sailed about 5 sunfish regattas when I was 16 and 17. This past weekend was my first time back in the boat. I was just as shocked as everyone else to come away with a berth to the O'Day (though I can't make it). Many thanks to Bill Brangiforte, who rigged my boat and let me borrow a rudder, and Jack and Janese Willy who lent me a boat for the weekend. Also, I wondered around on the morning of the event looking at other people's boats and how they set them up which was very helpful. So thanks to everyone who let me snoop around their boats.
