Don't forget, the St Francis Yacht Club's Fall Dinghy Regatta is THIS weekend - October 24-25! Don't let that rain outside fool you, its not yet Winter and the National Weather Service promises a return to our standard Fall weather by the middle of the week! So plan to get your boat out on the water for the last big regatta of the year!
We'll be sailing 6 races, 3 each day, right in front of the St Francis Yacht Club. Tides are very favorable this weekend with planned race times coinciding with the transition from a light ebb (1.5 knots) to a light flood (1.5 knots) on Saturday, even less on Sunday which greatly reduces the current local knowledge, as well keeping the chop to a minimum.
After racing on Saturday we'll be treated to the world famous StFYC Taco Bar, guaranteed more than you can eat, along with all the soft drinks and beer you can drink. Sunday we'll have hors douvres for the awards presentation.
The early entry deadline is THIS wednesday (October 21) after which the entry fee goes up by $25. Be sure to sign up by wednesday evening to save yourself enough money to buy that new centerboard brake that will soon be at Svendsen's (well, that plus a six pack of something)!

This regatta also marks the end of the 2009 Svendsen's/District 24 Grand Prix and, as has become customary, Sean Svendsen will be on hand to hand out the awards at the trophy presentation on sunday.
