In the big breaze, I practiced easing the vang through a tack. It also helps in the big breaze to reduce the chances of catching your boom in the water.

If a new sail does come out. I hope I can still fold it, which is a plus for Dacron, and fit it into the blade bag or duffle bag. Rolling a sail in an 8' tube would be a hassle, especially for those who travel by plane to the Coasts and charter/borrow hulls/spars.

I would get longer thinner ones, about 2x, cut some notches deeper in ridge of the bailer. They retained their "bunginess" better and lasted a lot longer. Dont forget the silicon around the edge of the bailer (takes a few try's to get it nice) really gets the water sluurping out.....
