Just checking out my new boat and noticed this Should the black plastic outer rim of the AutoBailer be sealed to the hull ? Mine seems to operate ok, the square bailer retracts and deploys, but the rim of the plastic is loose and certainly not sealed at the outer edge.

Just picked up a used Laser, needs a bit of TLC. would be interested to hear what people use to clean the hull, is it enough just to wash it down or should it be waxed to reduce resistance ?
