The mast step leaked. It held about 3/16" of water or so. Held a mirror to the bottom and thought I could see a small hole in the base on the port side. Installed an inspection port on the starboard, dug out all the pookey at the base. Once all the pookey was out (about 1/4" below the donut)...

Bought a laser with damage to the gunnel on the aft right corner. I'm rebuilding the corner with layers and layers of glass. My question is.... Is gel coat required over the glass or can the glass be primed and painted as it is topside? And. Can the topside be repainted with out too much...
