    Boom retention line

    I find you can just pull the kicker/vang on all the way, take out all the slack and that holds it on just fine, also stops it getting tangled for next time. I dont think the rules allow anything sort of extra line otherwise it could be used for holding the boom out downwind etc like on a solo

    Daggerboard handle - EMERGENCY! =P

    Ok, ok i left it too late, UK nationals tomorrow and i haven't put a handle on my new daggerboard. I fancy the stick style handle but have no idea how to make it :confused:. Can anyone help with which knot to use or where to drill the holes? Any help would be great Cheers :)

    Re: To fold or not to fold. That is the question. Somebody told me you should let the kicker/vang off if you have to sit with your sails flapping, im not sure the cunnigham/downhaul makes all that much difference to laser sailing, the kicker gives you most control over the leech

    Re: To fold or not to fold. That is the question. Does it make any difference head to foot or foot to head, i think rooster say something about head to foot in their sail service package. i have poles to roll the sails round, stop the sails getting bent under storage too

    It is similar to the rooster one, i'll try that way and see what happens. The play in the rudder seems to be in the gudgeons at the top but the bottom plate and pin on the stock moves up and down too. I'll try flipping it over thanks
