Hi, has anyone tried using a muvi atom micro video camera on their laser? If you have how did you mount it? is it waterproof? Did it work well?
Replys much appreciated
thanks
If they bring in a carbon top section surely that defeats the point of it being a one design class, because not everyone will be able to afford that making it unfair ?
I only use this every now and again as I don't travel to often. The boat barely moves when its on the roof of the car as I have foam pipe lagging on the bars so the boat inbeds in the foam so it doesnt move.
I cannot help with roof racks but I have put some pictures of how my laser goes on the roof of my car. I also put pipe lagging on the roof bars to prevent rubbing on the boat, this also helps to keep the boat in place once on. I firstly put the boat on and I use webbing straps to secure the boat...
ahh ok cool, because i was looking at it as at the moment i just have a dry bag that i clip around the mast which isnt ideal. I need to try and shop around then to see if they do them in the uk, thanks for the reply
APS sell what they describe as a cockpit pocket, Has anyone used one before or come across one before, and is there an equivalent in the UK?

Ive not used that, but by looking at it on the internet it seems the same idea as the rooster 6:1 system which is a good system. The only difference with the aps one and the rooster is that the aps one is spliced. In answer to your question, i think it is a good way of rigging the cunningham...
Yep mine is getting rather tuneful now. It still makes a noise when I lift it when im going downwind etc but its not so bad. just means that your board doesnt have a clean flow of water over it. No issue if your not racing competitavly.
