I can't testify as to whether or not this rigging is original but that is the same rigging my 73 Laser has. The clam cleats are not functioning evenly on mine either and it doesn't swivel easily. Time to replace it.

Re: holding mainsheet with teeth I have a green mint flavored mainsheet now. I find it makes using my teeth less offensive.

... where do you sail your laser? I sail at Huntington and Salamonie reservoirs (30 min from home so I can get in more often). They are a little tight so you don't get a good consistent wind. I'm hoping to get out more often this year and maybe try a few other lakes.

Lake Wawassee appears to be the closest... Of interest to me to since I live just south of Fort Wayne.

If you can buff that right out, I need you to do a little "buffing" on my boat...

Recently I purchased a 74 laser but it has no numbers on the sail. My hull number is 13716. I understand by the rules that the 1st and 2nd digits on a 6 digit sail number should be red but does that apply to the "1" in my 5 digit number too? Thanks, Paul
