    Hull No. Decipher

I have looked at the wiki but unfortunately my hull ID could be letters or numbers. Thanks for any help. Performance Sailcraft USA 188613 or 18613 August '74? It's a creme colored hull with wooden foils.

    Old Hull Repair Thread

Yes, the one I was referring to was quite large. Maybe 12x18 inches. I have a pretty good recolection of the process of matching the shape on a borrowed hull, I just wanted to print it for my files. I'll keep looking.

    Old Hull Repair Thread

I saw a thread a couple of years ago in which someone showed the process of how they repaired a massive whole to the hull during a race series at the dock. Does anyone know the link to this thread. Thanks!

    Wood vs. Fiberglass

You're right about the wood. I stumbled across and older boat with wood when I was looking. There's some nostalgia to the whole thing. I really don't know if I could switch to plastic. THEY FLOAT TOO! In addition, my boat also has the stainless gudgeons. They're bulletproof. I varnish my blades...

roll-on trailer for seitech dolly - looking for pics, info

 I too have a caulkins. I have been thinking about reversing the suspension or altering it in some way, so I can drop it down to pull the dolly on like a combi trailer. Has anyone done that? Doug Lake Tahoe

roll-on trailer for seitech dolly - looking for pics, info

vtgent49 - What size tube and wall did you use with the kee lite klamps? Also, it doesn't look like there's enough room to load the bottom boat while on the dolly. Do you load them seperately? Thanks, Doug

    Dolly Brands

I would like to build a double boat rack for my trailer. I called Seitech last year to find out which parts I would need to order to assemble a rack. They were very secretive, which I thought was weird since all the parts are available to order online. You'd think they would be happy to sell...

roll-on trailer for seitech dolly - looking for pics, info

Thank Poseidon for the WayBack Machine. http://web.archive.org/web/20020802141518/http://www.seitech.com/trailerdollycombo.htm I don't think you see them anymore because they make the light trailers that do both I guess. Doug

    Bailer

I just got a box of sailing stuff at a garage sail and it had an auto-bailer in it. I know it's missing the rubber plug but are there any other parts missing that you can tell in the photo? The door and o-ring that close it are there. How is it attached? Stainless screw?

    Laser v. Force 5

I have both a Capri and a Laser and side by side, the measurements are almost identical. The Force 5 has completely different lines and dimensions although there is a strange connection. Correct me if I wrong but... Vanguard who manufactures the Lasers bought the Sunfish from AMF, who also...

    Deck cleat screws

Update. This is still holding but I haven't been in a knockdown yet. I did find this product however and I think it is probably a good solution. http://www.rockler.com/findit.cfm?page=5551

    Laser v. Force 5

Actually they are still made and you can buy parts. I recently purchased one of these for someone in my sailing club. http://bosunsupplies.com/ProductForce5.cfm They're nice boats. I took it out a few times for fun. Major differences between as standard Laser and a Force 5 are: Three...

    Laser Rack

How do you support the boat? If all of the weight is at one point on the gunwale, it seem like it would put a lot of stress on the boat. Also, how do you get the boat in/out? Do you just slide it on its side? Is the bottom carpeted?

    STOP uraveling lines

How do you guys go about keeping cut lines from fraying or unraveling. I've done the melt it with a match trick. Works great on some types. I've done whipping too. But what do you do about braided line? For example Spectron 12 doesn't melt very well and is so slippery that whipping pulls off...
