Thanks for the tips and ideas. There is a dock but it's not very close to the ramp. Unfortunately the shoreline around the ramp is rocky. However, the walkway for the dock may be close enough for me to throw a line onto the walkway. Then I could lead the boat out to the dock where I can board...

It defies logic but the lakes in my area do not put boat docks near the trailer launch ramps. I see that the 14.2 has plenty of freeboard. If I were to launch at the boat ramp can you climb in from shore or shallow water?
