Oh! Sorry. I misunderstood. I thought you had said you had a hole straight through the deck and out the bottom of the boat from where the bailer was. I was confused about why you had taken out that plugged bailer hole on the bottom as I knew that it was watertight.

With the hole in the cockpit... I have no other suggestions than to fiberglass it. If you wait a little while others might have more creative suggestions that suit your needs better.

oh no, no no no. the first timers went home afterwards( to their house house not vacation house ) as planned. one of them had a total meltdown during the incident, though. the veteran's grandchildren that were on the boat, being the veterans grandchildren, kept on sailing.

my friend has parts but not a repair kit. so saying all the repair stuff you had to buy and tools that you rented it would be $650, but then you have to get a spot to repair it, blah blah blah blah:confused: and with someone has extra parts shaves you $200-500 depending on expensive you wanna go.
this is my vacation. its 1 month long, and im leaving in 10 days. i found the boat 2 days ago. and as i said, im gonna wait a little bit, like 1-3 years. but the thought of an abandoned boat is the thing thats motivating me. the thing thats stopping me i$ money
