What would you recommend for a good laser wax or polish to help clean up an old hull? I've heard that boat polish with Teflon or PTEF works well, but I was wondering if there was anything else that cleans it up well?
I just bought a '89 laser, really nice condition for a boat this old, but it has a few cosmetic issues. One of these is there is some weird chipping in the deck, like it was rubbed against barnacles or something. It doesn't go through the hull, only down to fiberglass and no leaks from it...
Would it be class legal to maybe have a small portable sound system on Laser? I mean it would be so raw to listen to some jam while hiking out. Has anyone gone about this?
Just wondering, I have looked at around 6 or 7 lasers to buy and out of those 2 or 3 of them were repainted on the hull/deck. I never offered to buy any of them (they were all in the 140-160lb range due to paint) but my question is why do they bother to paint the hull? Are they trying to hide...
I am possibly buying a Laser and would like a little help on decoding the Serial Number which is: ZFSA8106M82J I figured ZFS=Performance Sail-craft Canada and the Sail Number is 108106 (the A=10) and I also figured the 82=1982 but what do the M and the J stand for in M82J (May, March, June?)...
