Sunfish in EUROPE?

I write from Spain, I would like to teach my daughter to sail in a Sunfish, it is a boat with a beautiful history, and at the same time learn something myself with the idea of participating in one of the world championships.

What is the most competitive boat, sail and mast currently available?

Plenty of Sunfish activities in Italy, but unfortunately not in Spain. However, it would be SO NICE if you could start some.

The Sunfish is a one-design boat with only one manufacturer (in nearby Portugal). If you buy a new boat, you could upgrade the sail to the 'race' version. You can also change the rigging the way most racers do, but since you are just starting out, there's no immediate need for that.

Participation in the Worlds would require a Sunfish group/class in Spain.
