Been out of sailing for about five years and just picked up a used sunfish. Clarify for me if you can. What side of the mast should the sail rest on??? I have seen the booms touching the port side on some boat and starboard of the mast on others. Do a google image search and you will also see that as well. Let me know what your opinions are, or does it even matter??? Another way to ask the question would be should the loop on the gooseneck point to starboard or port??? Thanks, and hope it isnt to stupid of a question. I ask because this is opposite as my old sunfish. ER
