Rudder mega bolt

I was trying to get my rudder bolt tighter so that i can leave my rudder on the boat while walking to the slip way to go sailing .I have a tiny bolt at the minute and someone came up to me and said what are you trying to do and i said trying to get my rudder to stay up . he said i need a mega bolt . is this what he means .

You don't absolutely need it to keep the rudder from falling down, but it does make it easier...

If you check the class rules, it will tell you the max dia

just tighten the bolt you have

I have an Uber bolt, and have it tightened so my rudder never comes up
