Rub Rail

Will be finishing up my restore of an undated Sunfish. I am wondering if I should put new aluminum rub rail trim or use some other application. I was on SFF a few weeks back and someone had pictures of white rub rail from West Marine that looked excellent. I wish I could get another look at those photos. The rub rail is perfect for me because there will some kids using the boat and probably running into a few docks.
 
The vinyl rub rail is the way to go. Come in White or Black. Send me a note @ dinghyone at charter dot net and I will send you a sample.
The replacement metal rail only comes in five foot lengths and does not look good due to all the joints.
