Poor Mans Vang

Hey everybody, I'm trying to set up a vang that uses all avlible turning points for a little cheaper then the upgrade kit. I bought a double block with a camcleat and a double block without. I was wanting to incorperate this as a fine tune but can't quite figure out how. Any suggestions?

Read post 2 in this thread. There is a link to an article on build your own systems. I do not think using a block with an integral cam cleat is going to be class legal. It may not matter for what you are using the boat for, though.

Have fun and post some pictures of what you come up with.

Thanks for the tip. I'm trying to keep it class legal, although it probaly doesn't matter for now. I'll post the pics soon.

I designed a non legal version, years ago. I let you know of that stuff, here, dam, if find it on the hard-discs of my PC's, somewhere ... (...).

Thanks for the info. I finnaly got to a computer with word on it. And found out that my new vang is without a doubt illegal. however I will use it for the local club racing. Guess if you want to take advantage of the upgrades you have to shell out the bucks.
