Phantom racing in Sunfish class

I have a simple question I hope. Does a Phantom officially qualify to race in the Sunfish class? I'm looking to buy one but i want to make sure i can still race in the local Sunfish races. Thanks

Not really. One design races mean all the same boat. No to mention since the Sunfish upgraded to the racing sail and plastic daggerborad a Phantom would start out with a disadvantage.
