Padlock a Sunfish to a Tree?

For the summer, I want to keep my Sunfish hull on its dolly at the local lake, and just carry the spars, daggerboard and rudder back and forth. I have permission to store the boat there. I want to secure the boat to a tree or light pole. Where could I attach a cable or chain to the boat?

Use a chain or cable that fits through the daggerboard slot and that should hold her in place.
