New to this forum, I acquired a Sailfish measuring 13'8" by 36"+ width

trying to establish the year made. It has a serial number on a placard near the mast hole. 54917. It came without a centerboard so I will make one with whatever measurements I can find. And, I am not exactly sure of the model. Is there a Sailfish section on this forum?
 
Congratulations and pictures please :) 1968 boat. Fiberglass or wood? And we assume it is the 13' 7" model, aka the Super Sailfish (wood) or Super Sailfish MK II (fiberglass).

The original daggerboard is 31 inches and that is too short. A 39 inch "Spoon Tip" daggerboard from the 1960s fiberglass Sunfish works better or a 1980s era "Barrington Board" will be better daggerboards for the Sailfish series of boats. The 44 inch racing board is way too much board.

We have a lot of used part sellers in the Forum, maybe they have a board for you
