Mar 30, 2005 #1 P Prindle2 New Member My rudder angle on my sunfish is set at less than 90 degrees (parallel with the transom). What disadvantages/safety issues does this cause? Do I need to change it to 120 degrees? Again, I am not a racer so it does not have to be class legal, but I want to perform ok. Thank you for your help, Matt

Mar 30, 2005 #2 Strumy Member unless your rudder is broken and causing it to go down in the water like that than there shouldnt be any safty problems. as for the angle i believe the closer it is to 90 the better your stearing will be in high winds.
