Write to them and say you are not renewing until such time as the new sail is released and everything is settled with Bruce. No point in paying money to an organisation who give the appearance of being part of the problem rather than part of the solution. ILCA should be working for its membership not treating them like mushrooms.
I'm kind of on the fence with this. The ILCA-NA is there to serve members by organizing regattas, disseminate information, etc. At they same time, it is our primary conduit back the world level with all the drama.
I think something like $5 of your annual dues gets kicked back to the world level organization. Would be nice if there was some way to withhold this until drama is resolved to ILCA-NA member satisfaction. I want to say during a different drama some years back, there was talk of the ILCA-NA doing just that.
In the latest class newsletter, Andy says he is seeing improvements and is optimistic. And he lauds the performance and design of the sail from a training session at Cabarete. I appreciate what he is saying and trying to do, but we've just been going down this road for a very long time. I hope something actually does happen soon.
