Mar 22, 2017 #3 LaLi Well-Known Member Looks like there aren't any examples of that "closed" (or "captive"?) design available, and I don't see what the advantage would be anyway. You can see some of the more popular choices here: http://www.apsltd.com/hardware/mast-boom-and-spreader-parts/mast-fittings/halyard-locks.html This is pretty close to what I have on my Lightning main and jib halyards: Actually, a fork-style lock should pretty easy to build yourself.
