The serial # on my boat is:

AMF 13212L485. I am interested in selling it, but want to have the year available.

Here's the translation for you,

AMF = Manufacturer ID Code (American Machine & Foundry)

13212 = Factory serial number

L4 = Month of production (December 1984)

85 = Model Year (1985)

You would advertise your boat as a 1985.
