how much gel coat for complete re-finish

If anyone has completely refinished their hull, how big of a can of gel coat is required?

I can't remember exactly how much was used when we refinished the bottom of our old Sunfish but it seemed like it was a decent amount. Here is some information from our sister site about refinishing the bottom of your fiberglass boat- sunfish, laser, or anything else for that matter:
