H241 Question

I have a Harken 241 on my new to me Sunfish,Do these work ok if you take the bullseye off and install a block? If so what block works best.I have a spring in my junk drawer but no more blocks.

The question will be the sheet angle between block and cam in such close quarters. Too steep and the sheet will be lifted out of the dogs. Bending the cam plate down, away from the block could help. The adjustment would aid in control from a hiked-out posture too. Normally when you are hiked out you can’t disengage the sheet from an upward angled cam. It’s the reason deck mounted cleats are recommended when a block is the choice over the bullseye setup. The Harken Small Block and a low mounting eye might work together ok. A ratchet block is so large it possibly will make the problem insurmountable.
