Frostbiting sails

Depends on the courses and winds IMHO. Short courses, shifty winds, it's more about getting your head out of the boat and sailing shifts/puffs..

Longer courses w/ steady wind, then sail is more important...

heavy air - save the good sail.

Also depends on the goals and your wallet - is doing the best you possibly can in the frostbite races/series the goal or is it tune up for down south events..
 
agree, frostbiting can at times be uncomfortable enough. use for training, practice, keeping your edge. the cold and other conditions can put extra wear on your equipment. use a practice sail or buy one of the Olympic Trial rags.
