Elevated Mooring

Has anyone any experience in using elevated mooring platforms for lasers? In our bay there are several built out of galvanized pipe for Hobies in water of about 4 feet. However the curved hull of the laser makes the Hobie design inapplicable for lasers. Thanks.

build a curved bunk like a Scow boat on a lift but with the curve of the hull.

What would be slick is something that supported it by the gunwhale. Would take some time to manufacture though.

Just a few 2X4's. I'd consider that faster than making something to fit the curve. If you taper the 2X4 to a point (not a sharp point, but some thinner point to fit the gunwale), that'd support it fine. Pressure treated wood would probably work well.
