Can't say much about the particular brands but the concept of electric vs. gas is a no brainer for me. The extra weight, noise, vibration, smell, and messiness of gas for this little boat are not worth the extra range and power compared to electric. The chief function of a motor on a small sailboat should be to assist in manuvering and getting back when the wind dies out, don't need gas for that!
