I remember reading in "The Laser Book" that it can be repaired with wood chips and epoxy glue and then painted with 2 part polyurethane paint. I am sure someone here has actually repaired one and can go into more detail. If not you may want to check out the above book.
Sorry I don't (well maybe not totally sorry) have any personal experience here.
Ive done this repair alot. Ive learnd to put wax paper on one side so that one side is at least flat.. then mix up filler and epoxy. I have grown to like the west system products work well.
After you mix it up just apply it to ur board, and you will have the wax paper as a backing. wait to dry then sad it down smooth... start with a 60 grit then work your way up into the 500... then ending with a wet sand paper and wet sad it then its good as new
