Can't find small leak

I think that the leak is comming from the center board hole but I am not sure. Is there any sure way of finding leaks. How do you fix one if it is in the center board hole?

The air test method usually pinpoints any leak. Instructions abound. There's a set at the web page formerly known as Prince – or was that Team Vanguard ( http://www.laserperformance.com ) Oops – looks like it’s not there any more. Anyone see where the repair guides got off to? No worries, look here at Wind Line – ( http://www.windline.net/proj4.htm ). Sunfish Sailors has one too ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sunfish_sailor ). Don’t overlook searching the forum here for past talk about finding leaks. Your fix will depend on what you find and where. Get back to the forum with what you find if the remedy isn’t obvious.

Look under the title Search above. Enter Leaks. I find my leaks by using the air method. Use a hairdryer on cool instead of a vacum. The vacum puts out a very large volume of air and will literally pop the seams. A scary sound. I like to go to the dollar store and buy the plastic bottle of kids bubble solution. You can spray or drip the bubble solution on all the areas (one at a time) that have a seal or possible leak from damage (mast well and centerboard well). Then slowly from about one foot away blow the hairdryer over your drain hole. You may need to move closer but do it slowly. You will actually see the top rise and cute little bubbles will develop if you have a leak. If it's in the centerboard drunk you need to find or make a dabber for putting fiberglass and cloth. A metal coat hanger works well. Use one end to move around the fiberglass cloth and the other end can have a piece of cotton dipped in fiberglass gel.
