Some of my Scouts managed to break the screw/bolt that holds the two halves (mast ring & boom clamp ring) of a bronze gooseneck together. Any idea if I can drill out the remainder and get a new bolt to reconnect them?

Notice that the threaded bolt section of the mast loop is part of the casting. I'm not sure you could drill through the loop to fit it with a separate bolt without weakening it substantially.
Maybe if you create a recess for a specialty head type bolt.
For the effort, a used gooseneck will probably be more economical.
Wayne,
Thanks! I did not have anouther gooseneck to look at closely (they are all moored on the water) but it is clear from your photo that it would be a far more difficult repair than I could attempt and the result would be suspect. Time to buy one!
Thanks,
Gregg
