Thanks for the offer. Clearwater sounds great but it's a little farther than I planned on. I was hoping for a weekly series within an hours drive from Guelph. You know, frozen sheets and all that stuff. Gotta save my sheckles for the Snipe MidWinters in Nassau. (Pan Am qualifier don't cha know)vtgent49 said:Hi,
Check out the Midwinter Masters at Clearwater YC in Feb. Good regattas also the week before and after too.

I used to play trombone in several central Ontario Exhibitions....that still going on?
Oh yeah, for sure. Every fall. More hoser cows and pigs than you can shake a hockey stick at. It's called the Canadian National Exhibition.Sunray said:Hey, I used to play trombone in several central Ontario Exhibitions....that still going on?
Haven't heard of that one.Sunray said:nono...not the C.N.E. ....that's at the waterfront in Toronto. I mean the central Ontario Exhibition near Guelph....
And no....the extending pipe scenario is, alas, no more. However, I have been playing the flugelhorn (like a trumpet but more mellow), and I am finishing up my 2nd album of 'smooth jazz' using it.....
A baritone bugle? Isn't that an oxymoron? If you still have it you must post an mp3 of you playing it.gouvernail said:Canada and Horns>>
I played a baritone bugle with the Shoreliners at Gananoque in a 1969 Drum and Bugle Corp Show. WE WON!!!
yes I played trombone for 20 years
My boat shop has a a 12 string guitar, cornet, trombone, soprano recorder, piano, many harmonicas, a couple jew's harps, a $40 travelling guitar from the old Laser van, and a couple weeks ago I bought a banjo.
The two requests most often heard when I play have always been and remain "Far Far Away" and "Shut up and give that instrument to somebody who can play it."
I'm primarily an analog guy; after crawling over the Lasers and Snipes you get to my 8 track tape studio. I was in tonight working on some stuff. "I go down to the river to go to church......". Hope to have some product by the summer. I'm still tying to write the definitive sailing song. I like to think of it as my retirement plan.Sunray said:...My Logic Audio software just went on the fritz, so I have to hurry up and get something else ( can't go more than a week without composing SOMETHING!!)
