just purchased an older (70's) laser. sailed it for the first time. I moored it in the lake for 2 weeks. Kids had a blast sailing and flipping. I new I had lots of water in the hull. When I pulled the drain black plastic pieces came out of the hole. Does anyone no what this could be from?????

I have a old laser with lots of scratches. The bottom is a red color but the scratches show up white. I here that there may be a base coat of black under the red? How do I know when to stop sanding?

I just bought a used laser. I'm going to paint the bottom with interlux brightside. I also would like to paint the top with the same paint. Are there any problems with painting the topside????
