The serial number under my bow eye (581) is the same as that on the sail. When I search the laser uk database for year of manufacture, nothing comes back. Is there any way to narrow down the year this boat was made other than that it was sometime between 1971 and 1973? If anyone has any info...

I just bought hull#581 in Montana for $300. Hull and deck appear sound, and other than a few upgrades on the rig, it should do for a great summer of sailing Flathead Lake. Thanks for these posts, repete and pez, they help me see what I'm getting into.
