    Progress on my restoration project.

I like that answer. I haven’t weighed it but I can easily lift it so I really don’t think there is an issue. However, it also hasn’t been in the water in quite awhile.

    Progress on my restoration project.

A new skill learned today - wet sanding! Time consuming but amazing results. The blue deck is slowly emerging in all its glory. Got the sail removed and soaking. Tested the mast step and it’s NOT leaking . I’m afraid to do the air leak test because I don’t want to mess anything up and I’m a...

    Seeking advice for restoration

Trying to date my new/old Sunfish

Mystery solved. It's a 1962. I found a thread that mentioned where the serial numbers could be found prior to the data plate. Sure enough there they were. Used the chart to cross reference :)

Trying to date my new/old Sunfish

I was just gifted an all original Sunfish. I have read all the threads I could find regarding dating and I believe this is an early 60's model. There is not a hull ID number on the transom nor is there a silver data plate. There is a small black oval Alcort Inc metal tag on the deck. I need...
