I took a GPS out with me the other day in about 22 knots of wind and 2 foot chop and hit 17.2 knots. I have gone way faster than that day but i didint have a GPS on board.

I use west system and i small amount of thickener. I just went over about 10 spots that were pretty bad( someone pulled my boat up on a dock that had nails sticking out of it) Make sure to use very high grit sandpaper when wet sanding. 600 works well, I am using that and finishing with 1500.
