I too have thought of attempting a long distance Laser sail. One course I've thought of doing is a trip from Cape Cod across Nantucket Sound to Nantucket Island. A group of like-minded sailors and a crash boat to join me would be trerrific.
There is an old Laser up for auction on EBAY. The seller claims it was the first production year of 1971. Is this correct? The photo shows a sail with a number "2" on it. Now I know any sail can be put on any hull, but is it even possible that this could be boat #2??
I've used sticks that have been long enough that they interfere with the mainsheet between the boom and the block, and I don't like it....might someone save me the trouble of going out in the cold rain and tell me whish of the Fatso's would be right for me?? Thanks
I see that the newer Silva 103 series compasses have two holes drilled through them to accomodate the control lines. Since I have the new rigging package should I stay away from an older unit with only the one hole through the center? Or, will that one hole accomodate both lines, and will the...
