    it is the middle one, it is farther back then the walls of the cockpit. So i figured i could either try to cut it out and patch it piece by piece or build it up from underneath and then sand it down from the top and make it flish with more fiberglass on top.

    Ok so here are pictures of the area's that need repair. Listed in descending order of seeming difficulty to repair. The first would be these two small[ish] impact holes in front of the mast area on the deck, not a huge problem to repair if i make a patch then build up from the patch...

    I will get the serial numbers when i go outside later. The two main areas that need work are the deck maybe 12" in front of the mast where somthing struck it and left two punctures with some cracks maybe 6" around each. They seem to be in a non-structual part. And the area around the cockpit...

    I just purchased an older ( i want to guess 60's or 70's) used Sunfish ($150), it has two small impact holes on the deck in front of the hole for the mast, and is missing some hardware, it's also got some stress fractures around the cockpit area. I'm comfortable tackling fiberglass repairs...
