That makes sense. ZID identifies the manufacturer, which in this case is Laser International (also known as Performance Sailcraft Canada) in Ontario. They built Lasers from 1984-1991.

Before I upgraded my vang, the Cunningham block was tied to the vang tang with a small length if 1/8" Amsteel.

I use the Harken 019. It's mounted to the deck with the V10073 eye strap in the same location Vanguard mounts them at the factory. I used 1/4" plywood as a backer plate.
