    Another thing I did on my boat was to add furniture foot padding to the inside of the dagger board trunk that took out all the slop between the board and the trunk, which allowed for a lot less tension with the bungee cord and held the board in any position .

    No, couldn't locate any 6061- T6 locally. But the $50.00 did include the bulldog primer and clear wheel paint from the local autoparts store.

    My local hardware had a good supply of pvc connectors . I found one for connecting 2in pipe which is what I used for a mast. I had to glue two together with epoxy because they were not tight fitting and could not use pvc cement. I used a threaded end cap and put a threaded plug in to allow...

    The 2 inch schedule 40 aluminim pipe is 2.375 diameter and works great . its a much better fit into the mast step and the goose neck still works. For about $50 I was able to put mast together using pvc for end caps. Thanks
