Hey, my boat is exactly that red! (2001 built); and I'm quite happy with it.
Actually all boats over here made between 2000 and 2001 where that tomato soup color!

It's a nice way for not having to lose a day of training if it's too windy.
The sail losses it's shape, so you won't be able to sail as close hauled as if you were going out with the "unreefed" sail.
I only do it with a training sail; reefing, plus having a lot of wind stresses the sail a lot...
