I have a 94 laser 2. My grab rails are really cracked and one is broken completely in one spot. Need to order new. Struggling finding them online. Are they the exact same as the laser. They both take 5 screws.
Used some "L" brackets that use the same holes as the rubber mount and then moounted the bottom of the battery holder to the "L" bracket. Its easy to take on and off and works great. Stays completely ou of the way and there's no long wirring runs to the front of the boat.
I have a electric motor on mine and used it at lake pleasant. Works great. I ended up using a small marine battery with this mount option. (see this Thread)
No additional holes needed for the mount.
Bought mine this summer. 1996 mod 3 in like new condiontion with an nissan outboard (like new also) for $2200. Sold the outboard for $500. Boat looked like it had never been in the water. I'd say $1900 only if in great condition. Also depends on availablity in your area.
Nope. My boat has the motor mount. I just slide the motor up and rotate it out of the way. Works really well. I wanted a setup that I could easily install when I take the kids out on the bigger lakes but can remove it for race weekends.
