I wouldn't worry about it, I left mine in the water for about 6 weeks last fall because i had no trailer and no where to put it. It was fine except for a little water in it and some slime. This was in cool water, probably 60-65 degrees max.

I say trailer, if you can find a boat ramp then you don't need anyone else to go sailing. If you roof it then you will need help getting it on and off the car (at least I did anyways). Just see if you can get a cheap hitch for your car.

Hi! I'm a new Laser owner, and obviously new to the forum as well... I have a question, I just bought a '76 Laser that is in pretty good shape. I have read that the spars are supposed to fit together tightly, but mine are pretty loose.
