    Thanks for all the replies guys. There really isn't any serious need for me to change the sail number as I only sail club level. I just personally prefer the sail to have the same number as the hull. Tho if I leave it as it is, it makes me look like I have a much newer boat :) Cheers, Matt

    I have a Laser with a sail bearing the wrong number for the hull. The sail is in decent condition and I don't want to change it - and can't afford a new one! I know I can buy the sail numbers from Lasersailing.com, but is it possible to remove the existing numbers from the sail, and if so...

    Repairs to a wooden centerboard

    Here's my situation: the trailing edge of the centerboard is ragged and missing from 1/8" to 1/4" of wood after being sraped and banged around for years. I'd like to fill this in and restore the centerboard to its original shape, but I'm not sure what to use for filler. I could use wood putty...

    laser setup

    If it doesn't have the original sail number on the sail, remove the bow fairlead and you will find the hull number stamped under there. Check out the Laser website link someone else posted and it will tell you the year of manufacture. Regards, Matt.
