    Dollies: Jotag versus Dynamic ...

Beldar: thanks for the link to the previous thread on Jotag dollies ... I should have thought to search for earlier threads. That info was really useful ... just enough to make me think that I’ll pass on the Jotag and pony-up for the Dynamic ... at some point, hopefully soon. L&VW: thanks...

    Dollies: Jotag versus Dynamic ...

Wow, Clark, you have a lot of “dolly” experience! And you make a good case for the Dynamic dolly ... I like “made in the USA”, and typically am happy to pay a little more for that. Really cool set-up that you have there ... I need to spend some more time on your Facebook page - lots of cool...

    Dollies: Jotag versus Dynamic ...

I would really like to get a nice dolly for my ‘79 Sunfish; but, they’re pretty expensive. I see that Intensity Sails has the Jotag dolly on sale for about $100 off ... that’s a pretty hefty discount, and pretty tempting. Does anyone have experience with the Jotag dolly? I would be interested...

Wow, good for you! Smokin’ deal. Please, post a few photos so we can see it. We picked up our first Sunfish a few months ago ... and we still have not had a chance to take it out. Maybe this coming weekend!

    Not sailing solo anymore...

Norcalsail: Really sounds nice. I’m putting Tomales Bay on my sailing “bucket list”. I spent a summer in Petaluma (Two Rock) a long, long, time ago (Coast Guard training facility) and really love the area. Hope to see you on the water there one of these days soon.

    Not sailing solo anymore...

Sounds great. There was an article in the current edition of Small Craft Advisor on sailing Tomales Bay. I’m going to do it one of these days.

Nice pics! What is the yellow foam looking thing under the spars while in transit?

    Alcort Catfish

Kent: What a great post! LOVED the Alcort Catfish ... got me thinking! Also, loved the photo from the Providence, RI, airport! I saw that same boat a few months ago - my brother and I met in Newport for the Volvo Ocean Race, saw that boat in the airport, and we toured the nearby Herreshoff...

    GPS/Workout Tracking Apps

Klemsaba: thanks for sharing - pretty cool. I have two questions: - #1: Which version Apple Watch are you using? I sail a Catalina 22, and use my phone to measure speed. Just bought a Sunfish, and am getting ready for our first sail on it this weekend. Thinking that I’ll be leaving the...

    Wind speed

This is a good thread! Light air question: who uses a wind indicator / windex on their Sunfish, and what kind. I use one mounted on top of my mast on our C-22 and it’s really helpful, especially in light air. Useful for a Sunny too?

Very nice looking boat. Re: black spars - my understanding is that they were part of the “Custom Edition” package. That’s our 1977 Custom Edition, with black spars, in the above photo. You got a smoking good deal on that boat!

Hey, good for you! I’ve been sailing a Catalina 22 sloop for a few years; but, my wife wanted a Sunfish. A 1977 popped up on Craigslist about a month ago. I spent today recarpetting the bunks on the trailer, and tomorrow I’ll put the new sail on. Probably next weekend we’ll take it out for...
