what to do?

Hi,

A while ago i said i was looking for work closer to the coast. It is looking likely i will get that opportunity but for only £19k a year. I'm only on £4k more than that now though. The new job does not have the same promotion opportunities but for now it's all about security and it provides that, what would you do?
 
I assume that you wanted to move closer to the coast to have sailing opportunities and other improved quality of life issues. Here's the thing, it may be more expensive to live in the coastal area. How much is housing there compared to where you are now? If it is more, then all the services that go with it will cost more too. How are you faring with the amount of money you have now? With less, you can spend less on the things you love to do, such as sailing gear. Would just being at the coast satisfy you? The answer may very well be yes, especially with the job security. So consider those things. I don't know what I'd do either!
