weather helm vs rudder rake

Has anyone tried re-drilling the rudder pivot hole to improve weather helm? Compared to other boats, the laser rudder seems to be swept way back. I've done this on the Hobie in the past with good success and it was a common practice at the time. Just curious if anyone has experimented with this. Not really interested if its legal or not.

Yes it helps.. (alot)

It's related to the sail design, I've sailed with different sail designs that also eliminate the excessive helm without having to change rudder angle. (IE, the helm in the Radial is much more neutral)

Thanks for the feed back. I'll try sailing flatter for now. I know part of the issue is that I'm sailing with the board up about 10" due to the fact that I'm sailing in shallow waters, sand bars and such. (Waves, NC). Wind has been good. Low wave height. Great speed off the wind.
I think if I sail here again, which is likely, I will drill an extra hole to adjust the rudder rake and leave the normal hole for sailing in my regular huants (Ontario, CAN).
